The primary responsibilities include management of the five area Hiking Huts and the Tourist Hostel in Karlovo and also to promote tourism throughout the Karlovo Region. Services include nightly stays in each of the five huts and the hostel. Rooms vary from 2, 4, or many beds.

If advance arrangement is made, mountain guides, cooks, transportation of baggage via horse, and other services can be provided. Reservations are not mandatory, the hostel and huts can fill up due to
various holidays or bookings by school groups. Calling the Tourist Society or the Tourist and Conservation Information Centre before is recommended. The huts are reached only by foot. Exception - Hut "Svejen" and Peak Botev.

Food can only be guaranteed at the mountain lodges by prior arrangement. Baggage transport by horse to each lodge can be arranged. 10 BGL for Bulgarians, 10 USD for foreign tourists. Excursions can be arranged through the mountains with experienced guides.Food and lodging will be included in the price.  This is of course by prior agreement.

Note:  0. ³⁰ BGL tourist surcharge for Town Council is added to every night's stay.
